The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has confirmed that the Cayman Islands will be removed from its “grey list” in recognition of its robust and effective anti-money laundering/counter-terrorism financing regime.

Prior to this, FATF had successfully completed an on-site inspection in June 2023 and determined that the Cayman Islands had basically completed all recommended actions in the FATF action plan to verify relevant anti-money laundering/combating the financing of terrorism/counter-proliferation financing Implementation of the reforms has begun and is ongoing.
